(*you pronounce it 'harkoff’)
James has edited shows for all the major broadcasters in the UK. Many programmes have gone on to win, or be nominated for, industry awards in their field.
He is supremely confident in storytelling, sculpting narratives, and creating formats. He can edit with style and finesse, but also with a careful and subtle hand when it comes to tone.
He has a keen ear for music and has a broad range of tastes and knowledge to bring to the edit. James relishes the chance to create a musical soundscape for every edit.
James is also an accomplished scriptwriter, with writing credits on: Netflix Original feature film, ‘The Most Assassinated Woman In The World’, and the Bafta award winning ‘KNTV Show’. He’s also written many TV scripts on shows he’s self edit-produced; and has written a number of other feature films (including a biopic about Robert Burns) which are in various stages of development.
James has been invited by his peers to be a jury member for the Bafta Scotland Awards and RTS Scotland Awards.
